You can paint anything you want... How long the paint lasts depends on what type of material it is on, and how well you prep it. Is the hull abs plastic or fiberglass with gelcoat? Either way as long as you scuff sand then paint it will work, but it would probly not last as long on plastic as it would on the fiberglass mainly because the plastic flexes more. Again, Either way as long as prepped correctly it should last quite a while.
