thanks guys, I think I got it fixed AND I reported it to Ben's recommended site. In Help on the MSN site, the first FAQ is about having your email hacked. you just reset your password and done. I then went into my acct and saw that there was a forwarding set up.... deactivated that and got the moron's email that it was forwarded to (I admit I did send him a nasty email)!!

I am pretty sure it came with a UPS notification email. BE WARNED, IF YOU GET AN EMAIL APPARENTLY FROM UPS AND YOU DIDN'T ORDER ANYTHING, DELETE IMMEDIATELY!!

its still on your computer bro, i started a thread after Diesel pointed out that you even got the bug. Reporting it wont do anything. Changing your pass, yea but it will happen again with or without you knowing it.
Responding back to that email address you thought sent it to you. Bad move.
You just gave him your actual email address. (You actually got it from someone on your email contacts lists. He didn't hunt you down personally) Which in will be put back into a database, and probably used to sign up for other sites = gaining points rep points with certain sites, sold for advertising profits, or general use without having to use his own email addy.

I for one would take your email address if you told me off and use it for those reasons just to show you I could just make you that much more irritated.

Think about that.

if you act quick enough, get all of your contacts off of your email, set up a new account and send all of your (trusted) contacts an email saying your addy has changed, he can do whatever he wants with the old account

A scan showed nothing wrong with my computer but my Email account is sending out emails to people with a link that when opened releases a virus into their computers. a good antivirus program or firewall has stopped a lot of them but it infected my sisters computer.
I deleted my address book as soon as one of my mates notified me. Since then I've changed my password to my Email account. But being computer illiterate I don't know if that is enough. Any suggestions?
