    Old faithful

I am looking for some quick advice on bringing my old FE back to life.I'm waiting for a Ice 240 but geting tired of waiting for it to test with.My boat is an old MRP mono hull that I used to race in the northwest,it is 25 inches long and has a beam of 7.Weighs in at 3.5 pounds if I can keep it afloat with 5000mah 4s. That's with the old AstroFlight gear in it(cutting edge at the time). I was thinking of a CC1415 for a motor and always ran 32 or 35mm props and it went well.Anyway,I'm looking for a fair judgement on amp draw so I can order an ESC.Thanks for your time and thoughts.

What kv is the 1415 you want to run? I doubt you need a 240 esc, unless you want the data logging. You can run a T-180 or a Swordfish 200 in your boat. Less money and reliable.

Is it the 1415 2400kv?? If so its a bit high for 4s, but a smallish prop should work. You can use a Swordfish(for sale here) or a Turnigy 120a for that motor if you dont go gonzo on a prop.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

I think that motor has a 3mm shaft...might want to get something with a 5mm shaft. Check out the motors that OSE carries

Thank's guys.Yeah I was trying to be economical in my choices and was hoping to use the Ice as a guide(but don't know when it will arrive). Will only be running small props as it has 098 cable in it.I never had any problems with that setup on even 18 cells.Long long ago before lipo.I also have my stock MG stuff to swap around, a Hacker6XL and a vilineon motor(small prop 2s?).And speaking of the MG,I have a nice weekend and free time so I take my leave. Thanks again
