Any one use their phone to check how fast their boat is going? Im not worried about flipping and losing it. I have the boat pretty water tight with hatch tape. I foud a free app at the android store i might try. Ulysse Speedometer records max speed average speed amount distance traveled.

Im more worried about beating the crap out of my phone as the sv skips across the water.

If you haven't alrready, you should download the amazon app store. They give one paid app per day for free, the other day was a GPS that was originally $9.99. Pretty sweet app, I'll be using that to record the speed of my MG, plus it does a ton of other stuff!

Not me - my phone just makes calls to other folks (and does texting on a qwerty but I am all thumbs).

ha ha! I went into the Verizon store to get a new phone and they asked "What are you planning on doing with your phone, sir??". I replied "Ahh.........talk!". Apparently that isn't the norm anymore.

For the sport boater reading peak mph is fine, but for the oval racer lap times are a better indecator of how fast you are going.
