    Octura coupler set screw

Does anyone know the size of the set screw used on Octura couplers?
    Specifically a 5mm x .150.
    Thanks

If I were you I would re-tap the coupler for a better set screw. The hollow set screws from octura suck.

They take a 6/32 set screw. That uses a 1/16" allen.

If you go to a fastener supply place you can get some nice hardened ones for a few cents a piece, I usually replace all the stock ones as soon as I get them, they always round out at the worst possible time when you have no replacement, usually on the first run of the day.

I found 2 pc packs of 6/32x1/4 stainless steel set screws at Home Depot for .62 a pack. So I'm covered

Is the Octura coupler made of stainless?

If it is use a bit of caution with those stainless set screws, stainless threaded onto to stainless can gall the threads easily.
