Caution : My e-mail address book has been hacked into

Sorry guys, but some rotten MF'er has captured my e-mail address book and is sending out spam to all my addresees. If there's no SUBJECT , don't open it unless you need a link to products which reinforce or lenghten a certain anatomical appendage

If any of you can tell me how to stop this, please chime in.

I would like to hunt down whoever did this and have a "talk" with that person, Outlaw Biker style

    Thanks,

    Tony

      Tony,
Sorry to hear this. I don't know how to help you but I will tell you that I did recieve one. I could tell right away that it was not normal of you to send something like that so I just deleted it. PM me an email address to use in the future if you decide to change it.

P.S. All my hardware came in from OSE and my Insane hull has cleared customs. Woohoo.

I would take Danny's advice. Had the typical clues of a virus.

Do you have malwarebytes. It's good and it's free.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I ran Spybot (found the usual cookies), Malwearbytes, (no malicious items detected), did a Norton quick scan & found 61 problems which it fixed. I will contact Hotmail & see what they can do for me.

Really would like to catch up with these hackers, if you know what I mean -

Hackers were using my email address when my computer wasn't even on. Antivirus amd spyware software found nothing.Try changing your email password with your ISP. It worked for me.
Next step would have been a tech support marathon.

                    Do this tony...

do a yahoo search for " R Kill Download" .... download R Kill from bleeping computers... I recommend using a USB Flash Drive to download too...

then also download malwarebytes as well... the free version... the free version just requires that you maintain your computer yourself by doing a daily scan as it won't scan automatically...

Once you download both to the USB flash drive run R kill... after R Kill is done you will then want to immediately start the Full scan using Malwarebytes.... once its finished a quick reboot will be in order.. upon the reboot do a quick scan again using malwarebytes to make sure nothing lingered and resumed on startup.... after you have done this and log onto the internet jump into your email and change your password... after that do the R kill to malwarebytes one more time:) I have become pretty good at getting rid of viruses... haha.... but give it a try... and hey its all free....

Using the flashdrive is great because often the viruses won't allow you to run your "real" antivirus software (malwarebytes) .... by using the flashdrive you can boot up your computer and quickly go to my computer and jump into the flashdrive contents and run R Kill... beating the viruses to the punch... R Kill does a great job of killing off the Malware startup processes giving you time to let your antivirus run its scan.... hope this all makes sense to you..

My USB flashdrive with R Kill and Malwarebytes has been a tool of champions and has rid quite a few computers of ghonasyphiherpelaides... :) as me what that last work means... lmao..

                          Heres a tip...

When you restart keep pressing F8 until a screen come sup showing safe start. Choose safe start w/ networking. Then you can run/update malwarebytes and other things to destroy the virus scum.

I don't have a thumb drive. I just changed my password. Ran a full Norton scan - it just found cookies. Again, thanks for the tips. What about a system restore to a few days ago before I got hacked ?
