I think their base color is a 2 part epoxy unless I'm mistaken? I need a 2 part epoxy primer/filler but can't see that they offer it. What 2 part epoxy primer do you use and where can I order some? thanks

I am really liking Belton Molotow Premium paints. They just came out with 65+ new colours including some Fluorescent shades & coloured clear coats. They also have some decent chrome type sprays but, not as nice as 2 part stuff I guess.

I tested out some Molotow Premium and it's TOUGH!! Very hard to get it to run and it seems to force out dust!??

You can paint in any weather too.

Check out Artprimo dot com for all the info or direct to Belton paints.

Best of all it's cheap and tape doesn't pull it off easy or at all, even with no surface prep. Try that with Krylon or anything less that $8 a can.

Your thinking too much, you can buy a cheap spray gun for like 20-40 bucks from harbour freight, thats all you need to paint an rc boat and you can buy automotive paint at a local jobber. Usually autoparts stores have a professional paint line like ppg or dupont. You can buy very small quantities like a half a pint, 20-25 bucks and that would do a boat, then clear you can buy in quarts ($50) and that would do like 7-8 boats if you know what your doing. And the left overs can be stored for a long time, and your paint gun will last forever.

were talkin about little rc boats here though, not real cars man. I'm a professional auto painter so i have all top line guns but i'll tell you what my first paintjobs on complete cars were done with a $40 gun and they turned out pretty damn good, in fact your not going to see any difference in a boat that is 30" long and 5" high between paint guns if you have any talent.

                    yeah ok.....
I've used the cheap guns, and I for one do not like the results of them...
some of those guns are just junk...
and some really want a great paint job on there TOYS! some take great pride in the end results and will notice the differences, some could care less
oh and by the way, a buddy of mine has painted many resto cars that have rolled across Barret Jackson's bidding floor for 250K and more, and his guns are big bucks, but who cares right?..

lol not sure what your saying, talking apples and orange though, this started as a rattle can paintjob, now your wanting to turn it in to a 500-700 paint gun job ? I kinda thought i was giving a very good and cost effective alternative to rattle cans? and certainly a $40 gun is gonna give you a better end result than a rattle can! Now your calling me out on my knowledge and skills for painting???

Oh and everyone has a "buddy" who paints cars, but i can bet you the chance that he can do what i do on a daily basis is slim to none, lol for you to try and tell me anything about painting or guns would make you laugh if you knew me, or had any first hand knowledge of the trade itself which i can tell you dont. If you want to see some paintjobs that would blow your mind and that were painted with 20-40 dollar POS guns and sprayed in a backyard garage just lmk. barret jackson, thats toooo funny. mexicans have been building lowriders and painting them outside metal flake candy fades patterns stuff that brings a whole new level of painting cars to the table for years and when you saw them your jaw would drop. just because some classic sold for 250k on barret doesn't mean its worth a penny close to that or that the paint is any good, lol, but when you got a barn full of filthy stinkin rich bastards that will literally pay anything for a car they want or just for the sake of outbidding another guy thats where those stupid numbers come to play. but hey thats a whole nother topic, please dont get me started, lol

The OP was about these particular paints in general. I welcome the knowledge of experienced painters so it's nice to get 6sHyper's input. I like rattle cans for the boats I paint and these Killer Cans seem to be relatively good for what you get and they have some really great color combinations. I'll start another thread in a few minutes about spray guns, paints, and tips for first timers... I better see your comments and links in that thread 6s =)

There is another difference between rattle cans and guns. For a gun you need:
                          1. A compressor
                          2. How to mix the paint (Thin it)
                          3. What air pressure
                          4. How to control the spray pattern
                          5. How to control the paint flow
                          6. Clean up
                          7. xxxxx... Basically it takes at least a small body of knowledge...

                          For Spray can:
                          1. Shake it
                          2. Spray it
                          3. Done

Obviously, the spray gun will yield better results, but only with practice and more understanding and knowledge than a lot of people have.

I have done both, and as a complete novice I have had some disasterous messes when trying to use a gun. I am certain it is my fault, but again, with no one nearby to show you how to do it is pretty much all trial and error.

                            WOW!!
not even close about telling others to spend big bucks on a paint job for there rc boat, not at all what I said
and about my friend, his paint skills are the best I've ever seen, and he would never use a POS gun because his rep is to high to have a second hand paint job... I'm sure he could whip up a paint job with a $40 gun that will blow most so called Pros out of the water hands down!

fully agree, as that was the point I was leading into!!
without some skills it will take a few paint jobs to get it down, specially with a cheap gun..

Yes you make a very good point that a compressor is obviously a must for a spray gun! i guess i take some things for granted that i have..............
