    grapner Mini-JET in a 26" mono

Anyone who have experiance with the graupner Mini-JET http://www.graupner.de/en/products/1...tab=spareparts and know how it might work to power a 26" mono ? http://www.raidentech.com/3827-new-racing-boat.html

yes i know its not worth the money. but it have given me alot of joy over the years and worked great as a rescue boat so there are some sentimental reasons :)

I'd go with the 29 mm jet. Had one in a 29" mono and it was pretty fun, should be a perfect match for a 26 inch.

That boat appears to have a transom that is 90 degrees to the hull. This helps to make it a good canidate for the mini jet drive. I'm sure it would work in that hull. It would be no speed demon but would work well enough for a rescue boat. If you want more speed go to the 29mm drive. What are you planning on powering it with?

my first thought was to use a feiago 9L on 2-3S or a 8XL on 3-4S.

I think either of those motors would work on 3s best. The 9L would be a direct bolt in. The 8XL would need an adapter froim 380 to 540 motor size. 2 things to look for though are 1. The motor mount is the weak part of that drive (broke mine as others have also) and 2. The u joint supplied may come apart from the extra torque of the brushless motor. I've mangled 2 of them others though have reported no problem. Should be a good build though. The Graupner kit is much desired for it's quality. The Nqd one is basically a knock off of it, but still a good hull.
