    P spec for nats

I may be out of the loop but I don't know what motors are allowed for P spec and will that be the same for all the classes running P spec motors, ie, Crackerbox, 1/10th scale etc. I voted a few weeks back but I am not sure when or if that takes effect. I suppose it is up to the hosting club, so, if Ken or anyone from the club could post a list of allowed motors I would greatly appreciate. If it has been posted already please point me in that direction.

    Thanks, Tom

UL1 , Blackjack 1800 , not legal in NAMBA 10th scale unless new rules are in effect and theres a change .
I haven't seen the new rules yet , long story .
At the 2010 Nats Crackerbox used same motor rules as 10th scale .

The rules proposal has no change to the 1/10 scale classes proposed. So That class should Be Black Jack 26 (Grey Can) Old SV-27 (Blue Can) and the HiMax 3630-1500 However its the CDs call and if different should be posted on original flyer, posts, websights Ect.

1/10 Scale is not a P-Limited class, Its a scale class that has its own set of rules That differ from the P-limited rules.

I believe we are going to allow the new SV1800 motor in 10th scale as the Blue motor is no longer available.
If there are other motors that are legal motors but have been discontinued the replacement motor will/should be allowed.
Same in Super V modified and Super V stock, the SV1800 will be allowed as it is shipped in the new boats.
However the UL1 motor is not allowed in Super V or any of the Scale classes, but is allowed in all the other P Spec. classes.
I think I got it rite, if not I'm sure someone will correct me?

Before ya ask, the ESC's are open in all spec. classes except for the SuperV classes witch must use the stock parts.

Oops! You're right. forgot about the UL-1 and Proboat 1800 not being legal in 1/10th scale. I'm running the old SV27 in both my 1/10th vintage and modernb. Moves the boat along just fine! After the nats, when I get around to it, I'll try an SV1800 to see if it really makes much difference.

The blue SV27 motor is still available with no plan to discontinue it.

Tower Hobbies carries an expansive collection of RC cars, RC airplanes, RC boats, model trains, sot cars, and supplies for all hobbyists.

The 1800 kV is a significant performance upgrade for 1/10 boats given the limited prop selection.

Thanks for the info. I was less concerned with 1/10th but most of my questions are now answered. Is the Proboat 1800 allowed as a P spec, i.e., OPC, LSO, Crackerbox?

Well, assuming the rule proposal passed and it gets published before the Nats, you should be good to go on the complete list of motors included in the new rules.
