I was out running a Vee-ish mono, me and my grandfather built it and it was my first hull, it has been through a lot, including several tear-outs and rebuilds, it is still running mostly the same stuff. today I was running with a proboat 50A (no comments please) which has had many problems but seems to cooperate better now, a proboat 27 radio, and some 640 brushed motor i got from a buddy. now on 2S 4000 duratrax 25C lipo since my nimh batts are toast, I got about 7 mins total runtime, the battery showed no sign of loss of charge, then it just stopped dead, there was some water in the hull, but the probaot 50 is waterproof (its been there about 18 times now) the radio is in a balloon, and was above the water, and bruched motors should be fine getting a little wet. It took about 3 mins to float over and everything was fine inside, I disconnected the batts immidiately but there was no smoke, nothing was warm (the esc is watercooled) and nothing looked wrong. I tried reconnecting the batts after shutting everything down, I even reprogrammed the esc, still nothing, I didn't get a twitch from the servo. All my solders and connections are fine. I got home, popped it on the charger, after about 2 seconds (the charger dropped the Amps to 0.2) it said full charge, I know this is not the case since I have run it this long before and charged it to about 2000mah. What is wrong?

sounds like the batteries finally gave up the ghost.
if you are running the radio from the same batteries and it is doing
nothing, then that is more than likely the problem. -
okay, after fiddling around (without touching the lipo) I put in some new batts, they are the old nimh that I ditched. My findings after messing with different radios, and reprogramming are:
on the proboat radio:
Rudder:ch1 (rudder ch) throttle:ch2 (throttle ch) servo respone is accurate and reliable, no motor response whatsoever.
Rudder:ch2 (throttle ch) throttle:ch1(rudder ch) servo respone is again perfect, so is motor response.
conclusion, batts are still unknown condition. servo works fine on any ch, any radio. motor works fine on any ch, any radio, except throttle ch on proboat which determined by servos works flawlessly, what is up?Comment
