I run a Hydra 240, 4s2p and a 1521 1.5D. I'd like to try the 1527 in this boat but I don't want to spend the extra money for 5s or 6s packs for the 1500 and 1250kv versions. Will my 4s packs power the 1527 and still maintain a safe amp draw with a smaller prop? thx
34" M-1 supercat, 1527 2300kv on 4s?

steveo- you're absolutely right, it is a very solid setup... just curious if that 1527 Hydro motor would run well on 4s in this cat. The 1521's going in another boat, I'll need something to replace it but I want to stick with 4s.Comment

The 1527 1d will make that hull scream on 4s.............it wont be strained at all.........the Hydra should handle it fine too. I'd like to see a vid of that setupNEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE:http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Finally got the 1527 2300kv in!! I carbon fiber reinforced the floor as well as the ETTI Mount, drilled two more holes in the ETTI Mount to fit the bolt pattern of the NEU (4 bolts in total), added an endbell support and picked up a couple of TP6600 65c 4s packs. Will start with an M445 and scale up from there... Should have video this week. Oh, and panted black with a 2k clear that came out pretty good.Comment

It is a Hydro Marine hull and I have one, the only problem is the distributor for North America. It is a great hull though.

First run (couldn't wait for H2Ocamel with video) went well, boat is fast!! M447 didn't hook up as well as I hoped, even with strut adjustment. I don't have the cooler for this yet so I may wait until Steve gets them in cause the temps on the motor were hot to the touch. Batt's were cool, controller was a little warm.Comment
