    My lipos are baking bread...

I have an EKOS C1 and did the recommended Feigao 9xl motors running 4s to each. The motors and esc's stay nice and mildly warm but my lipos are hot and MAJOR puffing. They are Venom 4s 3200 35c lipos. Do I need lipo's with a higher C rating?

both C rating and mah's would help. Venom are likely over rated. Just up your mah's and they should cool off. If not what kinda run times are you seeing?

The "C" rating is fine it's your mah rating which is the problem. You need bigger packs. mah rating means WAY more then just run time. Try and get the biggest you can fit in the hull. If you rewired the boat so that the esc's are paralleled together you would more options. JMO

I'll look for new batteries, I was worried with ordering some online, I didn't know if larger lipos would fit in the EKOS.

Measure to see what fits. Every place I've seen that sells batteries lists the dimensions of the batteries. Another option would be to shape a block of foam or something and see what size battery you can fit into your hull.

The batts that are strapped down in the stock photo are these dimensions

            Length: 5.4" (138mm)
            Width: 1.9" (48mm)
            Height: 1.7" (42.5mm)

So..............you need some 4s that will fit the length and width.

These will work and give you 135 cont. amp output

These would be even better if you can find an extra 2.5mm of room on each end

measure your tray to get an exact figure

NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=
