I doubt that this is a record but 59.6mph, but on 4s batteries using 2 align xls heli motors and this funky stinger setup its very impressive. Don't think I have seen a sprintcat run that fast on 4s. This video is pretty old too probably 3-4 yrs maybe.

I have 3 of these motors and may well put 2 of them in a boat now and run them on 4s. I do know the motors although rated 6s will not stay together on that voltage. 5s maybe but boy for such an off beat setup and 14.4v/ motor the thing goes very well. The funky bent stuffing tubes would have to be changed. Stick the motors in the sponsons instead.

1650kv and only on 4s not 5s as in the rumdog video. on 4s I think they are pretty impressive. They are $80 motors, 6 pole and high quality japanese bearings, internal fans. They turn those 447s well. Again is there a better running 34-36 inch sprintcat on 4s???????????

Do you think those weird stingers sticking way out the back and the rudder with very little extension makes any difference. It sort of defies the rule of thumb on a cat setup.

I used a similar rudder with a short standoff. It works excellent on the Sprintcat.

Would 2 of them in a genesis be too much? Better in a team believer?

Very nice boat...........runs well too. Looks kinda odd seein' a boat run counter clockwise..............is that the way these type boats are raced maybe?

Nah, they go well in either direction.
