    Video Camera

What is everybody using to take videos of their boats? My Blackberry vids aren't good. Not looking to do on board video at this point...... I don't think.

    Thanks

I use an Insignia (Best Buy Brand) deal. Bought it second hand for $40 and does good enough.

The only thing I found is the image stabilization does not work in HD mode. Seems an absolute waste then!

I was using the video feature on my Canon s5is, but I just bought a Kodak Play-Touch hand held vid camera for $99 on sale at target, I just loaded my first video with it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az0zIeJiZJA

Looks great Diesel. Boats running fine! Did you get a little "shore" help there at the end?

I use a Canon 5DMKII as well as a Canon 7D with for work and play (as a side for my work I make ads for our companies non-profit stuff they show in other countries and schools). I use the bodies with 4 main lenses, 16-35 f/2.8, 24-70 f/2.8, 24-105 f/4 IS, and 70-200 f/2.8 IS. I also use a GoPro HD Hero that I mount in my Associated SC10 for FPV video and also made a "hat mount" to video hands free. Basically I drilled a hole into the brim of a ballcap and mounted the cam on it. This way whatever I'm looking at, whether it be one of my boats or RC trucks, is what is being filmed. One of these days I will get around to editing and uploading the video to youtube.

If youre looking for a better cam than your phone, find a nice Canon Point and Shoot that does HD @ 720P and has IS built in. You will probably be more than pleased with the results. Not only will you have a better camera for vacations and such, you will also have a decent video cam as well that fits in your pocket.

Thanks John... No shore help, may have been the way the vid suddenly ended that made it look like that.
