      I'm giving some serious thought of throwing a 2Y or 4D in my Titan 29 as a budget replacement of the Spec LSO setup just for fun running. The spec speed controls may not be enough for this motor but I'm still giving it some thought. Nice that they come with 5.5's, but in the picture it looks like the 5.5's on the motor are females and installed bass ackwards ; anyone catch this ?

          Properchoppper;

          If you are talking about the picture on the OSE site, LOOK real close.

          those ARE the female connectors that go on the ESC side.
          Look at the little solder flow holes there. LOL

          They are just plugged onto the male side of the connectors is all.

                So I'm thinking : $69.99 for a decent sized motor, $38.38 [clue-platinum member price ] for a 200A/220A marine opto SC from an unnamed vendor
                ( preeez don't ask ) makes a nice budget package for a fun runner

                        Dana,

                        Have to put the project on hold - I'm going to Vegas next week for my mini 50th high school reunion and need all the $$ I can muster up for the trip. The SC is in stock but I'm holding off for now. A friend ordered one of the motors, I'll check his out when I see him.

                          I have the Keda 2364 rpm in a cat. So far it has stripped the drive dog (took care of that) then it snapped the .150 cable. This motor has a lot of power ... don't underestimate it. I am in the process of sleeving the 1/4 in tube and going to a .187 drive cable. Hopefully this will keep the boat running.

                              That's encouraging (other than the broken stuff). Hope they're still in stock when I'm ready.

                              BTW I have a prop that you worked for Chilli (M545) on my P-Sport FE 30 and it works purrrrrfect - no lift/rear hop. Good job
