I managed to get my hands on a old school Dumas Competiton Deep Vee 40 hull. I took most of the first coat of red paint off and still have two different color coats to go and removed hardware. Since I am still new to this I need a llittle help. I considered a motor (either leopard 730kv or 1000kv), taking out the subsurface outdrive and putting a stinger on. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Got the old paint off but b4 I reglass some cracks and blemishes, I noticed the hull is extremely heavy in the bow. made a cut along the seam, previous owner used spray foam that got wet. Any ideas on how to get this out without ripping the hull apart -
you MIGHT try using just plain Gasoline poured up in the nose.
I know that most foams do not like it and desolve.
If that does work for you make sure and WASH out all the gas/junk using dish washing soap.
might also try getting something up there and actually chunking the old stuff out.
that is the main reason I do NOT like using the spray foams for flotation. It tends to suck up
water over time.Comment

let gas sit in hull for a week, still nothing. cut a 6x6 square into top of hull and began pulling out foam. This is the aftermath......Comment
