But seriously, what hardware recommendations do you have for me? I don't know boats much. My only experience is with Villains. I'd like to get something way higher in the quality dept, but with the same general purpose and hull design. And maybe something that can handle more powah. Glass smooth ponds just aint my style.

What do you think of the 45" Outer Limits and Challenger 43"?

Do you direct drive the surface drives? Or a pinion/spur type gear reduction like the Villain?

If you want quality steerable outdrives look in my Fountain Rio thread. Then if you like that drive contact lonewolf. He may make you one or a set. Heck if your intrested in the package everything has a price.....lol

You might not want to use survace drives given the conditions you enjoy running in. Submurged drives will probably give you more "bite" in the water.

Great point Doby. Submerged drives will require you run smaller props or gear drives if I am not mistaken.

Although I didn't seem to have any rough water issues with my Villain. I have had three of them, starting in 1993. I have a video from 1993 as well
No audio on that video though.

I remixed the video.
I think it is a little better now. Although pretty much nobody ever replies even though my server registers hundreds of hits.
I have not figured out this phenomenon. Maybe the video just sucks.

no, I havent tried two pumps yet. Problem is you need two 700 size motors, so I'd have to go lipo.....lots of money for all that. I have released another video, I just finished rebuilding her again. Dont worry the boat is fine...you'll understand after the video

I've got a couple threads, but theyre pretty out of date.

Basically it's got a graupner pro 2 jet drive
700sc motor
jeti 600 esc
16 IB4200 cells.
and no reversing bucket.
