Mean Machine Setup help

Hey all,

Still in the final stages of my mean machine build. I was planning to use the same 4S batteries that I have to run my RC trucks. However, I received a 14XL motor for Christmas (asked for it) but of course a 14XL on 4S is pretty underpowered.

Question is, do I buy a 9XL and use my 4S batteries. Or just go ahead and buy some 6S batteries and use them with my 14XL.

Based on Fecalc and other theoretical calculations, I'd get lower amps using (longer runtimes :) ) the 14XL on 6S configuration, which is what I'm kinda leaning towards. Any opposition to this?

Which way to go is always a debate, but for sport running I like 6s. Its fast with long runtime. Lots of people run 4s setups because the mean machine fits race classes better with a 4s setup.
