Hi new here and already looking for some help.... I have what i suspect is a Kyosho Hull going by the stand its on... I also could be wrong.... anyone know what model it is??
LOL! Check out the Attack radio! I used to have one of those! He,He! I remember the Viper series came out after I bought My Kyosho Jet stream 800. It came with one electric motor and I thought I had something really cool when I added another (Mabuchi) motor to it ...lol! Man, the Mechanical speed controller was horrible!! Ha,Ha,Ha!!!!
What are your plans with the Viper? Just curious....
well since its been in my basement for 6yrs... a guy was looking for me to fix it up for him, and I never seen the guy ever again... I guess a own it now.... i threw a brushless in it to see what it will do, I havent taken it out yet.... might just use it for a retrieval boat.... who knows maybe it will run good... but then again I just seen this video.....eeeekkkk
ok so I decided since I knew what it was to go take it for a test blast.... all was going good.... then just died.... after waiting 45mins for it to reach shore... i opened it up.... it must have over heated and melted the solder off the battery connector.... thats what i get for having a car power system in a boat.... <-- im a dumb a$$
Look tO be running great what did you do different ?also for the overheating I made the same mistake when I first went Brushless to high of kv motors would overload heat up and unsolder
oh and that first video wasnt mine.... just some dudes on youtube....
mine was the second video.... i was pretty happy with the handling and speed for what it is.... just going to replace the power system with the correct stuff.... thanks again for the help
I like the older Kyosho hulls, I had a OB powered one some time back.
Fwiw What sort of speed was that hull running in that second vid ?
I ask as I have one of my real old hulls out again and it has a nice scale looking speed that looks similar to the boat in the vid.
To me it looks cool and I like to run it occasionally !.......and then bring out the riggers
Sometimes it is nice to have a slower hull and have some fun !
See it....find the photos.....sketch it it....build it........with wood
