Hi, just wondering if we can use Deans connectors between 2 2S1P packs in series between the packs and a Hydra 240 ESC with a neu 1515 1Y motor. We will use 5.5mm between esc and motor. The only reason is so we can run the batteries in our other boats as well. Thanks Will

Not with the motor you are going to use. You will need to run 5.5 mm connectors.Steven Vaccaro

Steve is right, you'll get the Deans too hot with the 1515 motor. Members of our club solved the problem by using the 5.5mm plugs on all their boats.

Will I have a mix of power systems. Some of witch deans are not an option. I have made a few deans to 5.5 adaptors I use when I want to run the better packs in less agressive systems. It keeps every thing inetgrated much better. I will go to all 5.5s soon but have been putting off 3 or 4 hours of soldering...not my favorit thing.Comment
