    amps

    Amp question...for new electric boat guy....I have a 1527 1y and a ice 240ESC...in a 34.5 cat....first,,,what prop is best...what amps should motor be around and ESC be at ?

      I will try both 6s and see what I can get out of her....but mostly 8s....I wanna try a wide varity of props

        yes that chart helps ...I would like to know more about the amps.of both motor and esc...maybe someone who has ran this combo,,could help with how far to push the limits of amps

          That setup can average 150+ amps easily on 6S with the right prop. The ICE240 hasn't been out long so there is little experience out there. My ICE200 has been handling a 180 amp setup for about a year without problems.

            whats a good starting point for a prop on 6s and the same for 8s
            I'm going to try and run 6s most times the motor kv's are best suited for 6s...but ..I might get the urge to try 8s ...with a smaller prop....what r good staring points

              I run an x455 on my SprintCat 40/60 on 6S and it runs very well as a heat racer. On 8S I'd steer towards an x447 or x450.

                thanx ..that sounds like a nice start...what about the 642 pitch props ,,etc,,,
                what set up did you run for the 85 mph run...if you don't mind me asking
