Quick question to you folks. What GPS units do you use in your boats? I want to pick up a nice light one to replace my old radar gun.

Garmin 101 and 201...something or another....its small. Made for a runner.
There are 2 version. The 101 uses AAA batterys, and the 201 has the rechargable's built in. Thats the only differance.
Other than top speed readings.....Both these GPS units suck for just about anything else IMO.Fast Electric and Fast Ford's / V8 Mustang Enthusiast

I have the Garmin Gecko. I picked it up for $50 from megagps.com The unit weighs 3.2oz with batteries. It is about a .5 oz heavier than the 101 and 201 units, and a bit cheaper.Comment

So far so good. That gps has taken some pretty good hits so far with some of the blowovers I have had. So far so good, and hopefully it will keep on going for a while.Comment
