Johnson has one with a 19 turn brushed motor in it. We used it this past early winter to break up the thin ice near the bank so we could run our fast boats before the whole pond froze over for the rest of the season. It was a good time chopping ice with the cute little prop. I dont think its meant to be a fast boat, but even with a slower brushed motor, its was fun to run.
These were built in the early 90s and were designed to run twelve nickel cells and two cheap 05 motors geared together. They spun a tiny x431 plastic prop on the end of a solid shaft and were lucky to hit 25 mph - when they worked. Later versions had flex cable and reduction gearing, but few were made. The hull design was hard to waterproof and as stated above would not handle modern 2S power without a lot of work.
