    Who's gota Sprintcat!

Ok, who has a Sprintcat .40/.80 the 36" hull?
I'm looking for some good interior pictures..
I want to see how much play room there is under the cowl, like how much space do you have to put 5s packs in the sponsons, cuz it looks a little tight.....
I'm adding this to the list of "to build"
    thank you

Getting packs into and out of the sponsons is pretty rough,. I was able to fit 2x 5s 5000mah packs on the tunnel behind the motor. this is with the turbine hatch.
I will be building the smaller .21 size sprintcat very soon as well.

Don't think you're going to get 5s packs in the sponsons. I run 4 3s 5000 mah packs as 6s in the sponsons. They rest on foam and I made foam spacers to locate them fore and aft. Mine had rails so I made a cutout to slide the batteries in and out. A little inconvenient but not to bad. Having the weight outboard and down low makes the boat very stable at speed.

this is why I'm thinking of getting the Team Believer over this one
I don't really care for the TB Cowl though

I have to lift up the deck slightly to fit in my 4s 5000 and 5800s, so I'm doubtfull of 5s 5000, but it may just work if you dont have rails and cut back the lip round the hatch heavily or manage to find some really thin cells ir use multiple packs, my 5200s are actually 2p 2600mah and fit in really esay if you put them in separately, theres plenty of room in the Inn, just have to duck your head to get in the door .

The team believer looks MUCH more practical in that department, but I think its fugly too so I didn't contemplate it when buying.

The team believer without its hatch looks like an overgrown Mean Machine without its top and it took someone making aftermarket Mean Machine cowls for me to consider getting one of them. maybe someone will make one a flat deck bubble canopy for the TB and we can all be happy.

yeah the fugly factor is keeping me from pulling the trigger on the TB
or to me it would be a no brainer so I have that extra room to run 5s2p and 6s2p with room to spare

I ran 6s2p with a 1527/1y in my 34'' sprintcat with the packs in the sponsons. It was a bit of a PITA to get them in and out, but they did fit. I've seen them with the packs on the tunnel as well which does work, it's just a little tighter on space with less room for cog adjustment. I personally like the packs better in the sponsons but both ways work.

Thanks Kevin for posting those pictures!
do you think it would help for me not to have the rails?

What's wrong with running the cells on the tunnel? Works great. Handles just as well as with them in the sponsons and they are simple to get in and out.

Mine came with rails, so as you can see in the pictures I had to cut the rear section of them out with a dremel. It wouldn't be possible to put the packs in the sponsons with the rails going all the way to the transom. If I were doing it again I would order a hull without rails.

I use 2 of the 6s end to end packs ( long skinny packs ) and it works fine...if you want no issues get a Team Believer - no issues with battery placement and the same hull from the gunnels down. Might be retro but easier to work with.

IMHO that hull needs 6s2p w/1527 1Y - very reliable set-up and mid to high 50's race trim w/447. Four minutes no prob.

Here is a pic of Jay's sprintcat. Mine was set up almost identical.

Have you tried the packs on the tunnel vs in the sponsons?
                              thanks

but even without the rails its still a pain you think?
