    Anyone try these?

If so what charger would I use? What is an Astro Blinky? Can I change the taps?

An Astro Blinky is a balancer with visual verification. Told to be VERY reliable.. I believe the blinky fits any pack with TP balancer taps so no change needed. As far as a charger goes, it depends on what you want to spend and any certain brand you like. The Triton2 or traxxas ICE are good. There are better ones such as Hyperion etc... The packs you are speaking of have had so far great reviews. I can not say as I havent used them.

Can you give me a quick rundown on how often you guys charge Li-Po batteries during a day and how long you rest them between charges, etc?

Mine too! But this forum is full of guys who know the answer so we will both find out. The batteries are very expensive and I am trying to figure out how much use I can get out of them.

You can charge LiPo battery's as many times as wanted per day. As far as resting time, just let them cool off which shouldnt be much anyway if your system is setup correctly. You can get a volt meter and check voltage while they cool until they level off. Check them again once more after a few minutes and begin charging. Just as long as you are balance charging them you'll be fine. They dont seem to warm up like dry cell packs do during charge unless you are charging too quickly or overcharging a cell. I maybe jumping the gun on my posts but these things have been told to me and seem to work well as a general rule of thumb. Goodluck!

I am planning on getting the Hyperion charger with the built in balancer. Is that what you mean by balance charging?

Yes thats the one. Would that take care of all the requirements of handling these batteries?

If so you may want to check your battery type and make sure to get the right harness

If all is correct then yes, that will take care of you for quite a long time. Enjoy!

Thanks for the info I will order the batteries and charger from the same company at the same time so I'm sure they will make sure the taps and harness and whatever else is correct!!
