df 35" vs DF pirate hull, whats the difference?

Ok so i'm gonna buil a 33-35" vhull and looking at either the regular DF or the DF pirate, just want to know what the major difference is? looks like the pirate hull is a bit deeper perhaps? which handles better and which one is better for top speed?? thanks.
