Adding foam so they won't sink

Larry, Swansea mass...1 hr south of Boston.......can I cut the foam into small pieces and stuff them inside the hull?

I also use flat foam workout pads,from Wally mart
Where in Swansea,what pond? I'm in Plymouth, used to run in Wareham. Larry

Swansea dam, small pond but it's usually calm.....plus less than 1 mile from home....
