Boat Hull Weight

does anyone know what the hull weight of the 55" Venom Segad. from what I can find on the web it looks like 16lbs. can any one confirm this. the hull I am looking at building up is a Central RC Hobbies 53" Skater and was told it was 10-12lbs. just want to confirm that the Segad is 16lbs.

would bet the 16lbs is of the finished hull, ie hardware, motor, esc etc.

The central hobbies is a GREAT cat. Gizmo on JRCBD sells them too. He told me they were a well kept secret and very well made. May be a tad heavy but you can get the builder to lay one up in light layup. He is looking to get the boat more exposure. A fellow boater in TX told me that.

talked with the guy who makes them but he felt it would be to thin if he laid it up any lighter and 10 - 12 pounds is to heavy for what I am looking at. it was going to be the Skater or a Hydro & Marine Agitator 120 XL.
