Yesterday i did something pretty dumb. Didn't like how one of my cooling lines looked kinked so i added in an extra piece of tubing using a piece of brass tubing for the connector. I failed to remember, or look to see that i had soldered the inside of it and was using it as a plug.
So instead of exiting the boat a line leaked all in the boat and i didn't find this out until it suddenly cut out on me, There was some heavy cogging like i threw a bearing or something like that but luckily i was close to shore when it happened and i was able to troll back in.
Unplugged everything after finding all the water inside the boat. Let it dry out all day.
Was at a house that had a pool so i plugged in the batteries and hoped for the best. Had cogging issues, re calibrated the tx to the esc and it worked normal. to make sure it was going to be good under load i threw it in the pool and did a couple of laps and a couple of hard launches boat worked fine the whole time so i figure i'm good to go to the lake after work.
Get to the lake, unload everything and plug in the batts, go to test throttle and there is heavy cogging. Don't know what is going on so i decide to run my SV for a little bit, a guy seemed pretty interested so i wanted to show him MG.
Not really expecting it to work i plugged it in again and sure enough it worked.
Ran for 3 min everything worked fine, no glitching, no noticeable loss of power. Wanted to know what temps would be like after a 2 min heat so i pulled her off the water. Motor was at 113 and the esc ( the caps) were 130-140 ish. Think i will add some caps in on that note, if the esc isn't the issue.
1. could one of the phases in the motor gone out, but the other two are keeping it going sometimes ?
2.Is the timing in the esc acting screwy?
3. is the rx reciving bad signals since being wet.
Motor is aquacraft ul1 motor. esc is turnigy 120. and the rx is the mr3000. This is in my miss geico.
