    df29 vs. 26

ok I am looking to build a new boat but I want something that is on the fringe of saw as I crave speed but need some durability too...ya ya unicorn I know lol.But which hull would be better for this on flat to semi chop water,I say the 29 because of the ability to handle light chop but wouldnt the 26 be faster due to being lighter? I would be using maybe a turnigy 120 or 180 esc in it and want it to run on 4s and am open to motor and prop selections to go fassssst.Kinda a peeing contest for a long weekend competition but want to run it after that for my own pleasure hehe.

Is there a reason you want a mono? If you are just looking at straight line speed, you may want to go another direction. If you want high speed turns and handling then the mono is unbeatable. In my experience, the bigger the mono, the faster I could get it to go and stay on the water (when comparing similar hulls). At some point they get so big that power becomes too expensive to get big speed but in the range you are looking at thats not a problem.

For either one a Feigao 8xl on 4s would be a blast and fairly inexpensive........plus the compact size T120 can handle it.

To give you an idea here's my old 29" with a 7XL spinning an X640 prop.
But I found that an 8XL with an X440/3 blade prop was a better option. Just about as fast but easier on the battery with less current drain & less heat on all components. Handled better in the corners too.

                Cheers.
                Paul.

Fastest bang for the buck has to be a JAE21 FE running UL-1 motor and esc.
Follow the directions and it will scream. If you can build a small box you can build this kit!
Contrary to popular belief you don't need glass smooth water, with the wide footprint these things handle heat racing water with ease, which can get pretty choppy!
I have many pics of my nitro one flying completely clear of the water crossing wakes!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Check out the Tacon 3674 too. Its the size of a Feigao XL motor but 4 pole and more powerful. A great motor for the price!
