I will second that because I had twin 380 8XLs on 3s and they are fast but draw too many amps for that ESC.

        FWIW I'm running a 380 10xl on 3S on a 22" tenshock mono1 with a used 45amp proboat fastech ESC-- running nice and cool.

I am using 2 380 10xl with seaking 120 esc on 3s and 4s with no problems. I upgraded a venon ekos after all the stock stuff burned up. I got 48mph on 3s and 57 on 4s. I am using wire drives with x442. Now it's very reliable.

I don't know about the 60 amp esc, I'm sure it's fine, the 120's I use are overkill for peace of mind.
I get long run times with moderate temps(100-120) without hitting low volt cut off
Someone else here is more qualified to help you with battery capacity then me.

well i did mange to run her today with the stock motors....dont ask why its running now, adjusted the stingers more and she ran pretty good till mudder nature decided to start blowing again.....still planning on new motors but still wondering how large of pacs i can run safe on those esc's, would like to run 4 or 5p, currently running 3p but still dont know if esc can handle the load, prolly gonna go with a pair of feigo's, not gonna dump alot more into this project, thanks for the info on the motors gents!!!!

I assume you meant 4 or 5s. The 60a Seaking is rated for 6s according to the info i have seen............. the 2700 to 3000kv motors need only 3s. The 380 8xl's can get up near the 60 amp range...............prop accordingly if you go with the 8xl.

I was running the stock esc's 60 amp in the ekos with x442 and the feigos. Too much prop wound up frying the esc's but knew it was gonna happen so purchased the 120 turnigys but haven't run it yet. Also upgraded all connections to 5.5 bullets as the deans couldn't handle draw. Hopefully I've worked all the bugs out as I still would like to run those 442's. Oh yeah by the way Speed was 63mph and as sturdy as could be. That's perfect glass conditions. Little chop and you have to throttle her but that's what they make bigger hulls for.

I have the same set up, that's great speed. I only got 57. I'm using venom 3200 30c 4s, what batteries are using? I get 48 on 3s 3000 40c turnigy. Also using ec5 connectors

I'm using the rudder pick up to cool the esc, drilled another hole in transom and put a Y inside to cool both esc. New additional outlets on both sides. Using the two stock pick ups, one for each motor and motor mount to stock outlets. The batteries get warm if I run too long but everything else stays below 120.
