Drilling genesis strut to fit 3/16 shaft

Is this easy to do if needed? How many 3/16 bushings fir inside? When drilling will I catch the 4mm bushings and then they will come out? If a mess up, can I get just another strut? Same as stock? Or do they make the same size strut that mount to stock mount but 3/16 shaft instead of 4mm?

First you need a drill press. without one dont bother. Second you can use a small drill bit to drill out the 4mm bearings. Once drilled and the remaining 4mm bushing parts cleaned out, you will need a 1/4" drill bit to drill the hole.

i did mine free hand i used a 1/4 bit the 4mm bushing is in there it got chewed without spinning in place, but if it does you should be able to knock it out by then, i used a octura bushing in its place- a drill press is the way to go but if you have a good vice you should be ok, i had neither

I pulled the 4mm bushings and replaced with the octura bushing like steveo. Works like a charm. Cut down a Geico flex shaft a tad and off I went.
