    how to make square drive cable

    the one in my kb outboard broke. i got lots of extra cable laying around, is there an easy way i can make one?

    you can ask Kris Flynn what he uses to make his...He makes some nice O/B cables....

    ...or...you can PM me your address and I will send you a brand new K&B O/B cable...

          See if there's a manufacturer near you through this search page. They will press a square end on a cable for you.

            There used to be a tool or you could probably make one that looks like this...

            You put the cable in it then put the tool in a vise.

              Thats exactly what I did Dom. Except mine is a 2 piece unit with some pins to keep the 2 halfs aligned. I just used 3/8" steel plate. 2 1/2 x 2 1/2". Let me see what box its buried in if anyone wants to see a pic. Very simple tool. But mine is only for .150 cable.
