hi great link im just a little confused when they say total esc capacitance in uf do u add all youre capacitors together for example my t180 upgraded has 6 1000 uf caps so do i enter 6000 uf or 1000 thanks in advance

T180 caps are in parallel.. so add them together.
If series, the calc is c c1xc2xc3xc4/[c1+c2+c3+c4]

so how can u tell wether youre caps are in series or parallel for example a hydra 240's caps are ? and a phoenix ice 160hv is thanks

You can safely assume that the caps on all speedos are all in parallel. The reason is simple. Caps wired in parallel are additive, the final capacitance is the total sum of each capacitors value (like the example Wayne posted). Wired in series the capacitive value is subtracted, meaning the final value will be less then each components stated value. We typically need more cap value in our speedos. Not less.

Guy's dont forget if you are building a spark arrestor for a Castle speedo use a 1 ohm resistor. Dont go by any calculator to determine the value. Joe Ford has a post somewhere here on OSE with his recommnedation. Something to do with the battery cutoff setting.
