    ICE 200HV cap problem/warning...

Got my new ICE 200hv esc today.....................and it came only with stickers.

No instruction sheet at all for starters...............but:

WARNING: there is a batch of ICE 200hv controllers that came installed with the incorrect 35v caps..............mine is one of them.

This came up a week or so ago. You are supposed to use the Hydra series control instructions.

I brought this up about a week ago. Mine had one 50v and one 35v cap. There supposed to be sending me out a new one.

Hope no one has had any trouble with them yet.

I wish they had took the time to print up a set of controller specific instructions. Seems to me that would be one of the first things you would do.

I have to ask, Is anyone truly suprised? Optimistic modlers continue to buy castle controllers in hopes that maybe they got it right this time only to find out they havent. When considering the price of a Schulze and the product support of a company in Germany, boaters opt for Castle. I made that mistake repeatedly. Each time I would think, they have to have got it right this time, and was wrong every time. It sucks that Castle customers will continue to be involuntary R&D associates on their own coin. Adding insult to injury, Castle doesnt seem to learn from its rather large R&D community! Then when confronted by a weary boater, Castle will actually try to take a position of no guilt in the matter at all, knowing they make disfunctional products. Take note to this warning...The data logger on the new ICE units is not a feature for your benefit. They will avoid lots of warranty replacements by saying that they can tell from the data logger that the controller was misused.
Just for the record, Castle did replace all of my faulty escs with new ones but only because I was able to navagate their denial process. To this day they remain new in the box because I like my fingers too much to burn them again! I know I sound real negative and bitter but I am only 1 of many.
