to teflon or not to teflon

Building a Zippkits JAE21FE with a Leopard 3674 2200kv on 4-5s. Trying to decide between .150 or .187 cable and whether or not to run teflon in the tube. I've always run teflon in FE's but on the other hand I've never run teflon up to 30k rpm in nitro boats. Anybody want to weigh in on this? Thanks- Mike

I stopped running teflon. Seems to be much smoother and less drag.

In the past ten years I've only used Teflon in my one UL-1. Just be sure the brass tube is not too small/large and use a good lube with an EP (extreme pressure) additive in it (should say EP on container).

My JAE FE runs a .150 cable and no teflon. It is run with a UL-1 motor and ESC for P-spec hydro racing. Have not seen one problem with it yet....

to teflon or not to teflon

Well I guess that about covers it- I'll go .187, no teflon, extreme pressure grease. Thanks for the input, guys.
