    timing for suppo outrunners?

Well its time, maiden voyage any day now.

I have a pair of new Suppo 3126 1600kv outrunners and gonna run them on Swordfish 120s, 5-6S on X438 props, for good speeds, but not SAW.

Anybody know what timing would be good middle of the road?
I have seen that outrunners need advance timing...

Help will be rewarded with maiden voyage video!!

I had the same outrunner in my kos p1 with a seaking 90a esc on 5s turning an x640 prop. I had my timing at 15deg with 10-12mins running time. No probs for me on that setup. I think ben will be able to give you more info on these motors though.

YUP 15* for me as well. I ran those exact outrunners in a hor twin on 6s. Nice little motor for a great price! There is a maintenance task for reliability it on Bens site. http://fightercatracing.com/index.ph...cles&Itemid=58

On the swordfish series a guess the medium timing may be a good place to start then you maybe able to advance to high timing. I think the high is 15-30* and the med is 5-20*

I ran CF40s on my twin and they handled them like a dream I was gonna move up to CF45's but sold the boat. I think it will swing the 45's without a problem. JMO I assume this is a twin correct?

Thanks guys! Well, I went for it today - first boating of the season. and of course even the mental checklist didn't remind me about the spare batteries and ..... camera.

Anyway, she ran real good on 4S (I went with high timing-didn't see on the SF instructions what the degrees were for the three settings) and motor/escs were all mid 50s (mind you the ponds thawed mere days ago, so super good cooling water). She was probably just into the low 40s.... ON 4S AND 25C Flightpower packs that are probably 3-4 years old....

            Option 1: Low advance timing
            0°~15°
Recommended for more lower pole count motors. Gives more power and
            slightly less efficient.

            Option 2: middle advance timing
            5 °~ 20 °
Recommended for most motors .Gives a good balance of power and efficiency.

            Option 3: High advance timing
            15° ~ 30 °
Recommended for most of higher pole count motors

            Option4:Auto(default)
Recommended for most of all brushless motors.

It;s in the 200lv manual, but there setting are exactly the same. I have/had both the 120s and the 200s

The Turnigy manuals also say it http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...%20Manuals.pdf the aquastars are Hifei esc's.
