I'm looking for a hydro or rigger to put a castle 2028 motor in. Anyone have any ideas?

Kevin have you done those in electric yet?

I have a sample cooler on the 2028, just looking to get it in a hull to test.
Its going to be a few more weeks because of that and that David the machinist is moving.

Steve, that JAE is available in kit now. The turn fin is as big as your hand. Cheap too.

I still like the Backlash idea. More money though.

Steve pm seriously we can work something out on trade. It might make for a great saw setup.

Danny built a widened JAE 21 that is coming out very nice and he may be wiling to part with it. If hes not willing to sell it I am sure he would provide dimensions its an easy mod.

Her tub is now 4" wide with one of the last Peter Z custom mounts. a CC1717 fits nicely in there with a jacket. The sponsons are also widened to compensate for the wider tub.

                        Steven,
I'm putting mine in a converted Gen2 Gas Whiplash with some mods.

Because of the NAMBA transom width rule for FE, the Blazer Backlash won't be legal for sport hydro (at least in stock form). I measured the one I've got on the building board. In fact, I'll be surprised if any of the current crop of gas sport boats will be legal for FE.

I was originally going to put it in a GrimReaper gas rigger, but there just wasn't enough space for everything. If you want a rigger, you're going to need a 5" tub.

I don't know. I haven't seen either of them in person yet. I just figured if I can get 6s2p in a Whip40 that the gasser should hold 10s2p. It would require some creative canopy work. My 6s cells are actually higher than the deck opening. Without the canopy they wont fit in there at all.

Several club members are running gas Whips on 10S - tub mods were needed for 10,000 mAh capacity packs. A Speed Freak gas hydro works well on 10S and is easier to tape up than most.

I seriously doubt that a JAE .21 rigger is anywhere near appropriate for racing with 10S power, widened or not. It has to float....

yeah I didnt see the 10s but they are pretty easy to scale up if he wanted to go that route
