Boat ID Help?

Hey folks. I recently picked this boat up from a friend of mine, for a song! I have no idea what it is though lol. I know for sure it was a nitro powered boat, but there are no real indicators or markings that help me to ID it. I have compared it to pics of the ProBoat Miss Budweiser - but if thats what it is it has obviously been repainted.





I'm wondering if there is any updated information out there about setting one of these up as a FE boat? I have a spare water cooled motor and esc laying around, and some nice Turnigy 5000 2s lipos, and since I sold my old boat I'd like to get something ready to get out on the water. Any insights/advice/info would be greatly appreciated!

if its a proboat 1/12 as it looks then there is a thread on the proboat section called miss elam....that is a proboat built fe hydro

I don't think so. It looks like a PB copy. Can you post pics of the inside?

I don't have the boat at home, it's at the workshop at the moment. The only other informatifon I have is that it's a 27.5" hull, and on the inside of the hull is a label "A4-090"

Its a cheap Dragon Hobby Hull , it was one of my first boats , they come out as a nitro setup

PB = Pro boat

PB mounts the rudder on the left, this one looks to have had it's rudder on the right, with the pushrod in the center.

yeah, shortly after I posted my last reply, I realized what PB was.. been a long day. So the motor I have laying around is http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=8593, with the turnigy 90amp esc.. would this be suitable for this boat? Is it even worth it to convert this to FE? I'm pretty new to brushless, so I don't know a whole lot about em yet.

Lol, Thanks for your insight LarrysDrifter. So any advice regarding my last question? I don't know if that motor and esc would work well in this boat, or if it's even worth trying to convert it to FE. Thanks!

Look to be honest i converted mine to brushless i used the BJ26 motor & esc , the whole boat started falling to pieces from the speed , IMO its not worth the effort .

Thats what I was afraid of. Thanks Scoota for your honest reply, I appreciate it. I'm thinking I might just sell the hull, get rid of the 3600 brushless and pick up a package from HK or an aquacraft hydro or another cat.

They were pretty slow as a nitro powered boat , as soon as i converted it to electric it started to crack every where , the solid drive shaft is a problem , as is NO strut adjustment ....
