    Hacker B50 7XL replacement

Gentlemen, I have a need to either find a Hacker B50 7XL motor or a replacement unit. Does anyone have a suggestion replacement model number? Thank you

You can use a Feigao 7XL, it has a slightly higher Kv but not enough to worry about. The Feigao is not built to the quality of a Hacker but they still run pretty well. I set some P-Hydro SAW records with them several years ago.

Alternately, a Leopard 3674/2200 Kv is similar in power. It will spin a slightly larger prop slightly slower than the 7XL.

      Water Cooling

We suggest using a high quality silicon water jacket or

Either the Gundert 500 or 600 Silicon jackets or the OSE
      Metal water jacket shown below.

      Recommended RPM:
In rc boats we recommend the following
Between 23,000 to 26,000 total rpm for sport boats.

Over 30,000 rpm for quick straight line racing.

No it is not. The Kv is 'way too high for 4S LiPos except for SAW racing. I used a Hacker 5XL to set a long standing SAW record on 12 NiMH cells but it was hard on the equipment, definitely not a sport or oval setup. You will want a 7XL.

I have a genuine Hacker 7XL that I personally sent to hacker and paid to have new rotor and bearings installed. It has only been run 3-4 times since the new rotor and bearings.

Let me know if you’re interested. It's the closest thing to a new hacker your going to get with out the new price tag.

            Thanks,
            Mike
