Wanting to get back into boats

    I had 2 Supervee's there awhile back.
The Quicker of the two use to run in the 50's.

What would you guys recommend me look into picking up?
Ive got the ability to build and tune, but may prefer something someone has already built.
I liked the speed and the ability to maneuver here and there.

    Love those DF hulls..
Wanting to do a FE set up and maybe pick up a second boat that is a nitro.
I really miss my Shockwave 36 i had. Was just alot of fun to drive.

    Thanks for the help.

I still run the SV's. It's the first boat I purchased and even though I have lot's of bigger faster boats I still race it with friends. It seems like the Miss Gieco from Pro Boat is a really stable and fun boat for a good RTR package.

Yesterday I ran a small shovel nose hydro for the first time and it really was a joy to watch it effortlessly skip skip across the water. It occurred to me that running cats, hydro's, and riggers(haven't tried one of those yet), require a lot less energy to push them along and thus run cooler and smoother. I was using SV motor and ESC and everything was cool.

While I am on a ramble, it also occurred to me how bullet proof those SV27 esc's have been. I am still using the original ones from 3 or 4 years ago and they are stil working fine.

If you want something that will be a blast to drive, but you will have to put it together get an Insane FE 30. That boat is a rocket and super stable. You can run it all day long with a UL-1 motor or simliar or juice it up with something bigger and it will fly. Best boat I have right now in terms of performance and stability. I am running one right now with a Neu motor and getting upper 50's low 60's and there is room for more speed easily. Very solid hull with sturdy high gloss glass job.

    Now for some coffee....

Oh, here is the link for the FE 30. You can buy the hardware, boat and stickers from the builder so it all goes togther pretty easily. There are plenty of "build" threads to help you build it.

Oh yeah, the next boat on my list is a zippkits rigger, The mini version...

This should be an intersting thread....Mabe each person can finish with "and my next boat will be..."

You have the ability to tune and build. You like the DF hull.

Why don't you get the DF26 from Steve and put the SV electronics in it. You would have a strong reliable and fun boat.

I would also add, if you did this, you would be stunned at how much better a DF handles compared to a same sized SV.

As much as i like the idea of a 26" hull, i think im wanting to step it up to something 30+ inches in length.

If you change your mind, I have a 26" hull/hardware I would make you a deal on.

                      Oh ive seen that video.
Looks like a fun set up.

Is that on 2 3s packs or 2 6s packs?

I am always here on the forum looking around, have been even after i sold my boats.

Yeah, its been on RCU before.

It is here on OSE as well though.
I sold it to a guy on RRR. As far as i know, he still has it.
                            And actually GPS'd a 60# with it.
