    Bearings or Bushings: Ball Bearings
    RPM/Volt (Kv): 1742
    Resistance (Ri): 0.015 Ohms
    Idle Current (Io): 2.4A @ 6V
Maximum Burst Current: 80A (1600 watts)
    Cells: 6 Li-Po / 20 Ni-Cd/Ni-MH

I heard they are really well made, they are considered top notch in France where they are made... Never used on though... never heard of anyone using one.

      Yeah Made In France!!!

I've not used (too expensive for my budget) they are designed for, as the Neu are!
Last time I went to the local shop, they were working on a H&M Intruder with 2 Cyclon (don't know witch model) and Lipo's, the guy said it was a beast, insane, too much power!
      Certainly top quality motors!

IMO these motors would have more torque than an inrunner because the magnets are further from the rotor axis giving more leverage. I did like not outrunners in the past because of no water cooling and lower rpm limits. How long have these water cooled/ 40,000 rpm models been available for marine applications? Do they race them in Europe?

They cost less than a Lehner or Neu motors.

Attention ReddyWatts! only the front bearing is watercooled!!!
I did search on french forum, not that much post or feedback, the point is that there are very few model, only those who fit in with french race specs I guess ('ve not been in FE boat for long enough to say being honest!!!)
As you said they must have big big torque with such a large diameter!

I'll start a thread on the french forum to see what feedback we get on these motors!

doesn't seem to ring many bells in France...
one is saying they are not as good as Kontronik for the same price!
now looking at datas, the 1600 witch is given for 80 Amp burst (let's say 70 constant) with 1742rpm/V this gives the exact same torque as a Feigao XL!!! bigger diameter but shorter can!
the big advantage I see is the weight 270g (9.5oz) as the Feigao weights 372g (13oz) and does not include the water cooling

I asked this same question about outrunner motors on the red forum. I got some interesting answers from Christian in Munich.

The Cyclon outrunner are good motors for sportrunning ,they can spin high rev as they are 4 pole motors like Neumotor but outrunner. Christian

That is one of the best explations I have see to date. I got it and have no backround in electric motor design...
