Almost anything can be done with enough money and some simple mechanical know how. Provide more details like the size of the boat, and guys will be able to give you motor/esc suggestions.

The boat is about 24 to 26 inches long. Made of plastic but I have thought covering the inside with fiberglass. I am thinking of using the hardware from my Blackjack 26.Comment

Depends on what the buggy is worth, I probably wouldn't give too much away for that considering the costs of doing the conversion, I'd think about looking for a trade for a rtr boat from the swap shop here. Or sell the buggy and buy something ready to go.
Depends on how much of your blackjack stuff you can use as well. Generally used boat hulls are not worth too much money, you can get some pretty nice almost ready to go boats for 150$ ish.
New bare hulls from overseas are pretty cheap as well.
As I said kinda depends on the value of the car you're looking at trading. Much over 100 and I'd look at doing something different.If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
