Agreed, your batteries are too far forward. I run mine to where the end of the pack is even with the motor plate. Doesn't bounce 1 bit and I still have the stock steering rod.
Hk Genesis running warm need help.

Well, my 4074 Leopard 2200 on 4s turns an x445 with no problem so that lower kv motor should spin an x447 with no problem.Comment

I would make sure the strut is neutral meaning paralell to the running surface.
That can have all the affect in the world on how its handling.
Sometimes if its even 5degrees off it can make the boat yelp around like flipper.Comment

I tried to take in a little from everyone on this thread and purchased a Leopard 4074 2000kv and a x445 prop to start things out and work from there. I'm also putting in another water pickup to separate the esc and motor. Thanks everyone, Mick.Comment

Mick, what ESC do you plan on using? The stock one won't last very long. Mine melted a few seconds after just plugging in the battery.Comment

I did some research when I bought this and the Turnigy 180 was a choice esc so thats the one I have. The esc got a little warm but not to bad. Still not sure on why it slowed down. I did not check the low voltage setting before turning it one but I did not run it long enough for that to happen. I still had 3.8 volts per cell left.Comment

The T180 is great. I run one in the Gen and one in my Miss Geico. The BEC went out on the one in my Geico though. So keep an eye out for that in case it start to act erratic.Comment
