    A little help please !!!

This is the deciding factor if I go gas or not. Want to build up a FE 41" size hull. It will be running on 10S 5000mAh pack Hydra 180HV and a Leopard 5082/3Y 910KV 5000watt motor with a X457 2Blade prop. Guessing it will run 60-65 MPH.

My QUESTION is what run time would I expect to get out of that setup?

    I was told I would get 11min at 65mph????

    Thanks

Whoever told you 11 minutes lied. You should run in a 2 P configuration for 10,000 mAh total and if you get a good 4-5 minutes you are doing well.

65 Mph might be a bit optomistic as well.

You would do better with a 5692 in a 41" hull. Thanks.

Where did you find a 5082?
        Also, what hull is it.

Absolutely the 5692 motor! Go for the 730KV if you want to run 10S. I am running the 1090KV on 8S which gives a no load RPM of 32,264. I have a lot of 4S packs so it's easier for me to use an 8S setup. The 730KV on 10S will only give you 27,010 RPM but will give you more torque and less amp draw. I'd start with a 450 prop to start out and then ramp up from there.

I don't think you're far off with your 60mph estimate.

            sorry

            I meant the 5682.

sailr : what run times are you getting with the 5692 on a 8S 5000mAh pack?

I wouldn't expect more than 4 minutes MAX. I don't pay any attention to time! I race! It takes 2-3 minutes to go a mile course. Anything over that is a waste.

                Thanks for the HELP.

anything over 3 min. would be a waste if you are racing but I want to race and run with the guys which are running gas and if they can go out for 8-10 at 55-60 and I can only go 5 at 60-65 it really is not worth it for me unless I have at least 3-4 packs and really strong quick chargers. It will be less expensive to run gas so that is what I am going to do as I can only afford 1 boat as Helis/Airplanes are my real hobby. The boat will just be for fun.

The only thing that runs that long is endurance races. Regular lap races take less than 4 minutes.
