Mean Machine and LSO "Need setup"

We have one of the water damaged Mean Machines and are wanting to run it as a LSO at the NATS .
We can go either SV or UL power, the boat has a 1/16" wire drive installed with the motor mounted very close to where the gas engine was.
Radio box has been removed and carbon fiber matt floor epoxied in place.
Anyone have a good CG, battery placement, prop size, strut angle and depth ect......
We would GREATLY appreciate some help !!!!
    Thanks T.C.

ul-1 power would be faster. x440 prop would be a good start. batteries 9 1/2 from transom in the sponsons. i set my strut so the center hub of the prop is right in line with the bottom of the sponsons . thats jmo. i built one over the winter, used a bigger motor but heres the thread if you want to look http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ad.php?t=20769

i'm sure with proper setup both combos will result in equal speed, i would start with strut 1/4" above the sponson, i am currently setting up a lso cat for the up coming event using a proboat 1500 kv and x445 prop still needs work , the strut right now it is 3/8" above sponson but it is a different design than the MM

my MM is a Nautiboyz rebuild
now running an 1820kv FSD motor

strut top at 5/15" above sponson level

        prop Octura X437/3

        COG 8.75" from transom

        Batteries 5s1p

ran this morning on a 1" chop (smooth for here)
boat was bouncing so I moved the
        Batts up 1 inch
        COG at 9,5

        and re ran the test
boat leveled out and was not running wet

        results:
        30.5 mph GPS
        80.5 A on Watts meters
        98 *F motor
        95 *F esc

            Thanks for the replies:
We have tried both the SV and the UL motors, with the same results.
It is running wet and we cant get it to bring the nose up, we have a x442 prop on it and was advised to lower the strut ?
If we can get the thing to loosen up I think it will run, this being our first cat type boat ,we haven't a clue ?
Again this is for LSO to run at the NATS so any advise or real life experience with the boat and same motor setup would be great.

My CG is at 8 1/2" from transom and the bottom of the strut is 1/8" above the bottom of the sponsons

              works good for me

                Terry,

Try setting the c.g. at about 30 per cent from the transom and the center line of the propshaft at 3/16"-1/4"

                This should help.

We got the CG correct, I think were missing the prop depth ?
I'm sure were below the bottom of the sponsons.
                  That will change this week.
                  Thanks Guys !!

My MM works best with the AQ1800 Kv motor and an m445 prop. CG is at ~29% and prop is about 1/4" above the sponsons and angled up a couple degrees at the prop end. The BJ motor was too low in Kv and the UL-1 overheated with any decent prop or speed.
