    HK Genesis Offshore 1045mm

I am looking at getting one of these once they come back into stock. Anyone have any feedback be it good or bad on this boat? You Tube videos look to be a fast boat...that is not really knowing what each of the set up's are.

Hulls are great, I've got one.....the electronics are questionable and have proven to be problematic.

I agree with Doby. It's a great hull, just don't expect to take turns at full speed. It's a narrow hull and the bottom is not flat so it digs in good, but it will roll and flip if you're not careful. I replaced all my electronics. I run a Leopard 4074 2200kv with a Turnigy 180A ESC. The boat is 100% more stable and turns better with the weight of 2, 4s LiPos in parallel. I run an Ovtura X445 prop and get close to 10 minutes of run time with 2, 5000 MAH 20c 4S packs.

Things to look out for? You will need to glass over or epoxy over anything attached to the hull. That includes motor mount and battery trays. The stuffing tube in mine fell out when I removed the strut and the motor mount so I glassed that in place as well. None of the screws had lock tight so I did that. Then I snapped the stock drive wire so I converted the 4mm strut bushings to 3/16 using Aeromarine Teflon bushings and went with 150 drive cable. Once I was done I adjusted the strut even with the ride pads. The boat runs awesome! Here is a video of my last outing with it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbKpRtnc9sA

Buy the hull only from Fightercat racing and put all of the "right" gear in/on it. Do it right the first time and save a lot of headache.

Looks like Leopard is going to be the motor of choice for my genesis. I have the money now so time to save on the headaches. Thanks guys.

I agree with, but the paint job is worth the extra money, IMO. It's a beautiful boat.
