    Universal joint

Am in the process of tacking in the stuffing box, drive shaft and motor mount in the Skidaddle Too I am making.

Am using universal joint BC17 from Offshore.

When doing this how important is "up and down" alighnment"? I suspect "back and forth" should be spot on, but am wondering if slight motor "slant" id OK?

Am not looking for great speed.

Bill[/QUOTE Keep the alignment "spot on" Are you using a straight shaft? I used a strut mounted to transom, the st tube is tight to bottom of boat(out side) also used a flex shaft with rudder on rt side . Larry
