Brian Buaas Breaks the P-Sport and S-Hydro 2-Lap Records!

Today at Lake Waughop, in Lakewood, WA, Brian Buaas ran his Raptor Dark Horse Pickle, powered by a Castle Neu 1515 1Y motor on 4S1P and broke the standing NAMBA P-Sport 2-Lap (1/6th mile course, 1/3rd mile total)!! I'll have to post later with the exact time... I think it was in the 25 seconds and change area...

He also ran 8S1P and a Scorpion outrunner in his Raptor P-Spec Hydro hull and broke the existing S-Hydro record... Again, I'll have to get the exact times and post them later.

He also ran Lohring Miller's G1 Gas Mono and came within 3/10ths of a second of the standing G1 Mono record.

In addition to this, someone broke the standing Nitro Sport 21 record, and the ThunderBoat record was bettered bay around 1.5 seconds.

All in all... a great day at the lake!! Get out to a time-trial one of these days, if you have a chance! You are missing out if you don't.

Mike Hughes broke the T boat record with his new scratch built boat. It hit the water for the first time this morning. Time was 27.31. I'd guess there's another half second in the boat with more tuning.

P Sport was 25.08

S hydro was 24.xx ( can't remember exactly). Still VERY soft. It time to put together a couple purpose built riggers for the higher cell count rigger classes.

Best time for the gas mono was 26.84, but it was also the first time the boat hit the water. There's more to be had.

It was the first day it hit the water, so there's more to be had once we get it dialed in. The handling wasn't quite there yet, but it's a matter of time and testing. You know the drill.

Nothing like a set of timing lights to help you tune a boat.
