Boat runs better turning left?

    Boat runs better turning left?

    I don't get it my widowmaker turns much smoother when going left in a oval?
    how can this be?

    Your text contradicts the heading of your post. Does it turn better to the Left or the Right?
    Generally, the following usually applies.
    Prop walk & torque want to turn your boat to the right. When you turn the rudder to the right you sort of help it on it's way. Smoothly.
    When you turn to the left your rudder is fighting against the prop walk & prop torque. The opposing forces can cause unstability in the hull.
    This might explain it better.

    Have a read through the rest of the headings in the manual too. Good info on all aspects of the hobby.

      Hi it rides smoother and turns at faster speeds when turning left in a big oval ?
      I will read the link you gave me but i thought most all boats turn better to the right?
